Sorry guys, after the post 3 days ago about the 10.000 miles V8 Vantage trip from Tokyo to London, here's another one on Aston, as a new baby is just born.
Indeed, the new DBS was unveiled this week at the 2007 Pebble Beech Concours d'Elegance. The car was first briefly seen in the latest James Bond, Casino Royale (just a few seconds before Bond violently crashed it in an attempt to avoid Vesper, what a pity).
Ulrich Bez, company CEO said : “the DBS is the ultimate expression of Aston Martin’s engineering and technical ability. It offers pure performance without compromise.”
6.0 liter V12, c1700kg thanks to extensive use of lightweight carbon fiber body panels (200kg less than the Vanquish), 510 bhp, from 0 to 100km/h in 4.2sec, 301 km/h top speed. It is also the first road-going Aston Martin to have carbon-ceramic brakes, which are 12.5kg lighter than conventional steel brakes and far more effective at slowing the car down. It also has and a leather and carbon fiber cockpit
But, above all and beyond all those specs, the car is simply stunningly gorgeous from every angle you may look at !
The DBS replaces the Vanquish as the top of the line Aston, but its price should only be disclosed next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show (Vanquish ended its career around 270K€). Deliveries of the DBS are expected to commence during the first quarter of 2008 but, given a limited production of 500 units/year, significant delays are expected (vs 300 Vanquish previously).
it's definitly my favourite one!!

This is luxury at its best. I'd relly love to own one those babies. I think this is the best thing Aston Martin ever came with.

The weird thing is if you look at the parts list of Aston Martin you can see that they have all the same parts as Jets
